Job Summary:
Dustin’s Place is seeking a compassionate and community-focused Director of Community Care to help expand our children’s grief-support services throughout South Bend. This first-of-its-kind position will lead children’s grief groups in local schools and community organizations, as well as support evening children’s groups at Dustin’s Place in Plymouth.
The Director will also strengthen community partnerships and oversee 3–4 part-time Community-Based Child Grief Specialists.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate children’s grief-support groups in schools and community settings

Lead evening children’s groups at Dustin’s Place

Build relationships with schools and youth-serving organizations
-
Support and guide part-time facilitators
-
Help expand in-school and after-school grief programming

Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
-
3–5 years of experience working with children
-
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
-
Reliable transportation
-
A commitment to compassion, inclusion, and creating safe spaces for grieving kids
