What We Do
At Dustin's Place, we provide a safe space for children and families to grieve after the death of a loved one. In addition to our on site grief support groups, we provide community grief support groups for children throughout Marshall County and St Joseph County. We are also committed to bringing awareness to children's grief through education, professional development, and community events.
On Site Peer Grief Support
Dustin's Place provides free peer grief support to children ages 4 years of age through 18 years. Our groups meet every other Monday night at 11802 Lincoln Hwy in Plymouth. Each group night begins with dinner. For more information check out our Group Page.
We love our summer grief camp! In 2025 58 children from 2 different states, 4 counties, and 7 towns came together to make new friends, remember the person the love, and have fun!
School Peer to Peer Grief Support
We offer in school peer grief support groups at no cost to the schools. In addition to these grief support groups, we also provide acute grief support through our crisis team. To learn more or sign your school up for a grief group, check out our Resource Page.
Grief touches every aspect of a child’s life, yet it is often misunderstood or overlooked. At Dustin’s Place, we believe grief-informed care is essential for creating safe, supportive environments where children can heal and thrive. Through professional development, training, and community education, we equip teachers, caregivers, and professionals with the tools to recognize grief, respond with compassion, and provide meaningful support. Dustin's Place is committed to providing FREE grief support to the children and families of our community. That is only possible through your support and donations! It costs approximately $1172 per child each year for free grief support and we will never charge our families!
